The meaningful season of Lent begins this year on Wednesday, February 26. Our Ash Wednesday observations will include two worship services: noon and 7:00 p.m.
On Ash Wednesday, Pastor Frusti will share the first of this year’s midweek sermons entitled, “Hands That Pray”. On each of the next five Wednesdays, neighboring pastors and deacons from our sister congregations will continue to share sermons based on the theme, “Hands of the Savior”
Ash Wednesday worship will include the imposition of ashes which reminds us of our sinfulness and the need for repentance. Later in the service we are refreshed when we receive the gift of Christ’s forgiveness through the sacrament of Holy Communion.
Our popular Family Lent Dinners begin on Wednesday, March 4. Each Wednesday during Lent, a different group or team from our congregation will prepare a delicious meal for you to enjoy before attending our midweek Lent worship.
May this season of Lent be meaningful to you as we together reflect on all that Jesus has done for us.
