Nearly 300 people attended this year’s Fall Family Festival on the evening of October 24. During the 90-minute event, thousands of pieces of candy were shared, 20 dozen donuts and 15 gallons of cider were consumed, and countless smiles shared.
Beyond the sugary treats, Trinity’s train ran throughout the evening giving rides to our costumed guests. Members of Trinity’s Youth Group provided games where the kids were able to earn sugary prizes. And, in the darkened south end of our church basement, members of Trinity’s Youth Group with a gift for drama provided the chilling skit “A Midnight Dreary” which shared the message of God’s presence and protection even when we may be feeling scared.
Thank you to all who helped plan, advertise, supervised the games, acted, distributed donuts and cider, opened their trunks, and helped in any other way. We appreciate you!
Plans are already in the works for next year’s Fall Family Festival. Be sure to save the date – Thursday, October 29 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
