The Psalmist wrote, “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good” (Psalm 136:1).
As we look back over the past six months, it is evident that there is much for which to be thankful. Gary’s Council President’s Report and the reports from our board chairpersons are revealing of how members of our congregation continue to give of their time and talents in many generous ways throughout the week.
Trinity Lutheran Church is a fellowship of believers committed to our Lord’s Great Commission, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20). This year we are blessed with more baptisms than usual – seven to be exact – including one adult baptism. And there is more to come with additional baptisms scheduled in the closing weeks of this year. Jesus says that there is great rejoicing in heaven over one person who repents (Luke 15:7) With so many more baptisms, the rejoicing may be a little louder
Jesus said our work is to include, teaching all that He has commanded” (Matthew 28:20). In September we launched a 31-week sermon series on the big story of the Bible. Every Sunday morning the same Biblical story is taught from the pre-school classroom to the youth group, to the pulpit. Affordable materials have been made available that what we taught here on the weekend can continue to be taught in our homes throughout the week.
The ministry of Jesus’ church continues here and among our members throughout the week through our mid-week Bible classes, homebound and hospital visits, through countless times of praying with and for one another, spoken and written words of encouragement, and even through a warm embrace, firm handshake, and loving touch. “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good and His love endures forever” (Psalm 136:1). May Jesus’ love continue to be present through all that we do at Trinity Lutheran Church of Davison.

I have not found a Synodical affiliation anywhere on this web site. Is that intentional or an oversight?
Pastor Todd Frusti
Eric, this is not intentional – nor is it an oversight. We are a member congregation of the LC-MS. One place you will find this stated is on our “About us” page. I believe it is in the first sentence on that page. Since many without a church background may not know what it means to be a member congregation the LC-MS, we also include a hyperlink to the Synod’s website. Thanks for asking. Blessings to you.
